Hartslog Day and More Fall Festivals!

By October 12, 2018 Uncategorized

Here is a listing of Altoona area live music happenings for the weekend and week of Friday, October 12 through Thursday, October 18.

Fall festival events again take the spotlight for this weekend, as several different festival events with live music happen in the region.

Bedford’s Fall Foliage Festival concludes this Saturday and Sunday in downtown Bedford, with live music on two stages both days. 1960s hitmakers The Vogues return to perform at the festival on Sunday; check the listing below for performers and start times both days. Admission is free.

The 43rd annual Hartslog Heritage Day Festival takes place Saturday along Main Street in downtown Alexandria. As always, Hartslog Day will feature plenty of arts and crafts vendors, produce stands, multiple food vendors and children’s activities, along with live music near the Hartslog Museum. See the listing below for this year’s entertainment lineup.

Tenley Park in Everett will present ROCKtoberfest on Saturday afternoon, with Bone Jacked, the Blacksnakes and Flood City Brass providing the music. That event starts at 2 p.m.

Lake Raystown Resort near Entriken presents their sixth annual “Fall” Into Family Fun Festival on Saturday afternoon. The festival will feature pumpkin decorating and contests, free hayrides, children’s activities, and live music from the Kenton Sitch Band.

And for those up for a roadtrip, downtown Ligonier hosts the annual Fort Ligonier Days Festival on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. And Renovo hosts the 70th annual Flaming Foliage Festival from Friday through Sunday.

For outdoor shows, in the event of inclement weather, please call or use social media to check ahead to make sure the show is still taking place, especially if you are driving any distance to attend.

Check out and support the area live music! And if you celebrate heavily while doing so, please designate a sober driver or call a taxi to get you home.
