I want to share only good news this week – our friend, Doug Rhodes, of Doug’s DAWGS fame, has been drawing people to the parking lot of our ArtsAltoona Center for the past few weeks when he is there over the lunch hour. He is offering people a little info about who we are as ArtsAltoona as we would, as always, welcome new people to join in our activities.
Please be sure to Like and Follow his Facebook page. He posts each morning, Tuesday through Saturday, whether the weather is cooperating enough for him to be open for that day at the Center. He also shares his menu for that day because he likes to mix it up a bit! Beef Hot DAWGS are always available, but you may also find Angus Burgers, Cheese-Steaks, Hot Sausage, Pork BBQ, Grilled Chicken, and his famous Chili Mac n’ Cheese! No matter what I choose, it’s always good and prepared the way I want it.
This coming Saturday, May 30, from 10am to 4pm, Doug will have his food truck set up outside Sam’s Club in Altoona. He is very generously donating 15% of the proceeds to ArtsAltoona. We are looking forward to a special appearance from Altoona Curve’s Frank hot dog to join in the fun. Make a purchase from Doug and get a selfie with Frank! It’s going to be a fun time – please come out, enjoy some of Doug’s great food and say “Hi” to the ArtsAltoona representatives who will be there.
