Whatever holiday you celebrate this time of year, we hope you are connecting with your loved ones in whatever way you are able to safely. Even though the celebrations this year will likely be different from the past, it is the connections that are important. We are grateful to be connected with you! Enjoy!
Altoona Symphony Orchestra
The Altoona Symphony Orchestra is presenting a very special online concert “Traditions and Legacy – Tidings of Comfort and Joy” at 5pm on Christmas Eve! What a wonderful opportunity to share this beautiful music with your family! It was recorded at the gorgeous Mount Carmel church. The amazing restoration took place a few years ago and was headed up by John Rita, truly an Altoona treasure! Symphony violinist Stephanie Everett and her daughter Grace have been doing a series of these “mini-concerts” for the ASO. In this one they are accompanied by symphony principal pianist Mary Villani. You can get the details on the Altoona Symphony Orchestra Facebook page. The connection to their YouTube channel is there for your convenience. Enjoy!
WTRN 96.9 100.7 – Lightner Communications/Radio
I have been listening to this station a lot lately – they have been dubbing themselves as “the Christmas station” playing only Christmas music since Thanksgiving! Classics, silly songs, old and new – they have it all. For those of us who are Mannheim Steamroller fans – be sure to tune in – from 6pm on Christmas Eve to 6pm on Christmas Day – they will be playing An American Christmas hosted by Chip Davis, founder and musical director of Mannheim! Enjoy!
Thank you for supporting the Arts,
Enjoy!
