Our ArtsAltoona creative team has been hard at work preparing some fun art classes to be held at the ArtsAltoona Center. Be sure to watch our websites www.artsaltoona.org and www.artsaltoonacenter.org and our Facebook pages ArtsAltoona and ArtsAltoona Center for all that is happening! The Center sites will focus on events at the center and matters related to the center. Our regular sites will continue to share lots of events and interesting posts dealing with our focus areas of arts, culture, history and heritage. Make sure to check the calendar to find things to do whether you want to get out or participate virtually.
Spring has Sprung Mommy and Me Paint Class
Scheduled for Saturday, March 6 from noon to 2pm is a Mommy and Me class to create a beautiful three part wall hanging as shown here. Olivia Steele is our Learning Pods Monitor and she is also a very gifted artist! Olivia will lead the group in creating this beautiful painted art piece to decorate your home for the Spring season!
Ticket price is for two people – one adult (doesn’t have to be the Mommy) and a child (age 10 and up) and will include all supplies needed to create the project and instruction by artist Olivia. Registration is limited to fifteen pairs. Each pair will have their own 8′ table to work on in our Learning Pod classroom. Attendees will go home with the completed art project. Light refreshments will be provided!
If you would like to learn more about Olivia you can check out LivsArtworks on Instagram and Facebook. Her website www.livsartworks.com will go live in early March. Whenever you are at the ArtsAltoona Center check out the mural in progress on the parking lot side of the building. Olivia is the artist who created it for ArtsAltoona to exemplify the wide variety of types of arts that we support and promote! You can also find pictures of it on both Facebook pages and there is even a video of her working on it!

Paint and Sip
Join us for a Paint and Sip on Saturday, March 13 from 6 to 8pm presented by ArtsAltoona and Paint Party by Sarah! Sarah Jubeck will lead you in the creation of a beautiful flower painting. Tickets are $40.00 per person, which includes supplies, instruction, and a wine sampling from a local winery! Registration is limited to 20 people.
The ArtsAltoona Center follows all Covid-19 safety precautions; attendees will be socially distanced at their own stations and all materials will be sanitized. Everyone should bring a mask or face covering.
