ArtsAltoona Spring Art Market

Waffle Painting

The Spring Art Market is scheduled for Saturday, April 17. The Market itself will be held in the Blank Canvas (the lower level of the education building) from 11am to 4pm. The market will feature unique local artisan vendors. In conjunction with the market two ceramics classes will be available on a limited pre-registered basis. Also our first Artist Gallery Showing will be happening in The Sanctuary.

Artisan Vendors

Our vendors will include our own Olivia Steele with her first ever sales booth! Olivia specializes in food based art – doughnuts, waffles, pancakes, tacos, eggs, apples and more! She is in the process of creating the ArtsAltoona mural on the parking lot side of the Education Building at the ArtsAltoona Center. She also painted the logo for the Blank Canvas at the bottom of the stairs, be sure to check it out on your way into the Art Market. To see her art work check out her Facebook page LivsArtworks.

Another artist vendor is found on Facebook as Crafty Courtastrophe. Courtney makes an assortment of items from jewelry to wreaths to food. She has some really cool earrings that look like cookies, others with a rainbow effect and some that reflect the colors from the southwest US. We are very anxious to see what she brings to the market.

More vendor information will be featured in future newsletters.

Ceramics Classes by Sniklefritz Studios

Two ceramics classes will be presented in the Ward Room on the main floor of the education building. Our partner for the classes is Daniel Saville of Sniklefritz Studios. Each class will be one hour long and each is limited to a maximum of 15 participants. The registration fee is $30 which includes the materials and instruction to complete your chosen project. The Leaf Dish class is at noon and the Pinch Pot Monster class starts at 2pm. For all of the details and the link to purchase your ticket, check the Facebook event Ceramics Classes at the Art Market.

Artist Gallery Showing

Also happening during and after the Art Market from 1 to 5pm, our first Artist Gallery Showing with Megan Devine. It will take place in The Sanctuary (I think you can figure out where that is). We are excited to be showing off the work of this young artist. Megan has done art pieces in painting, pen/marker drawing, and mixed media. Please be sure to come and see her creativity.

As always, follow our Facebook pages for all that is going on with ArtsAltoona.

Have a great Easter weekend,
