Forget the dusty, "polite" Shakespeare. We’re tearing up the script with a production of THE TAMING OF THE SHREW that’s fast, funny, and fierce. We’re exploring the madness of love, the necessity of play, and the psychological liberation of the iconic Kate and Petruchio.

About the Rustic Mechanicals
The Rustic Mechanicals are West Virginia's only professional touring Shakespeare troupe, serving as the resident classical theatre company for The Vintage Theatre Company based in Clarksburg, WV. Known for their high-energy, music-filled, and rock-and-roll approach to classic theatre, they tour extensively throughout the Appalachian region and surrounding areas.
Founded by Jason and Sarah Young, the troupe aims to make Shakespeare highly accessible, relevant, and wildly entertaining. Instead of dusty, reserved productions, their shows are often characterized by live music, modern-day streetwear mixed with classic regalia, and an interactive "Shakesperence".
