ABOUT THE ARTISTS

  • ‘Devin’s mostly not blue’ is the stage name of Devin Sherman - a classically-trained guitarist turned improvising musician in the indie-jazz/experimental vein with flavors of funk, folk, and alternative music sprinkled in. His introspective, tone-painting approach draws listeners in to examine the colors, textures, and stories that underly his improvisations. Some tunes sound like a musical Alexander Calder mobile and others splinter and split between jazz and bluegrass and blues. He explores forms and textures, melodies and harmonies, moods and vibes in real-time. He strives to capture sounds that intrigue and express real, genuine, human feelings.

Devin studied classical guitar and performed for years as a soloist and chamber musician. Specializing in contemporary classical music written by living composers from many musical and cultural backgrounds, he was often given the opportunity to improvise in various forms which led him to connect his love for improvising to his other favorite musics. In addition to performing as a soloist, he writes jammy-folk music for himself, and he writes and performs other styles for his handful of other band projects.

  • Dylan E. Miller is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist hailing from historic Huntingdon Pennsylvania. Dylan has an indiscriminate musical influence, pulling inspiration from all genres of music. A blues historian and music history enthusiast his guitar compositions are heavily influenced by pre-war and piedmont blues - an alternating bass thumb finger-picking technique playing lead with the fingers. His hardened yet sophisticated approach to performing, lyricism and unique compositions are harmoniously complemented by his warm yet ghostly vocals.

  • Guitarist and vocalist Bill Ferrell performs a blend of fingerstyle classical, Spanish, jazz, blues, rock & country, creating elegant, engaging acoustic music for weddings, wineries, breweries & private events.
