The Grotto

Located beneath The Sanctuary at the ArtsAltoona Center, the Grotto is one of our most active and versatile spaces. Designed as an intimate performance venue, it features a raised stage, flexible seating arrangements, sound system access, WiFi, and accommodations for audiences of up to 150 people.

Over the years, the Grotto has welcomed musicians, poets, actors, filmmakers, educators, and community members for a wide range of events. From live concerts and open mic nights to theater rehearsals, film screenings, workshops, classes, and youth arts programming, the space serves as a creative hub where artists and audiences connect.

The Grotto's flexible layout allows it to transform to meet the needs of each event, whether hosting a full band performance, a community discussion, an educational workshop, or an intimate acoustic concert. Its welcoming atmosphere makes it one of the most unique and accessible creative spaces in our region.
